Car pledge programs are beginning to take off and more people are joining. These groups are similar to other vehicle buyer’s clubs in that they encourage people to purchase a hybrid, electric or other alternative fuel vehicle. The difference is the approach. Instead of a group of people discussing why they like a particular make and model, these groups encourage their members to “purchase” a hybrid, plug-in electric car today.
The way that this works is rather simple. At the beginning of the year a certain number of members must sign up. Then a certain amount of money can be spent on gas for the first eight months. Once the first vehicle is paid for the program ends. (If there are any remaining members left at the end of the year, they are given a free vehicle as a reward.) All members then receive a credit card with the money for the next vehicle they want to purchase.
The pace car program was started in Michigan. In October, it went live and was immediately sold out within the first month. Two months later there were still plenty of members. Now, the space program continues to grow with states like California and Maryland now having pledge program meetings จำนำรถยนต์.
This all adds up to one important fact. If you are looking to buy a hybrid, plug-in electric or any other zero-emission vehicle, the best time to do so is during the last eight to twelve weeks of the year when gas prices are at their highest. That’s when the price of most conventional vehicles go up. It also happens to be during the time when gas rebate checks are in effect. So, when you look into a car use program like the speed limit drive and get the incentives that come along with it you are actually helping lower the cost of fuel and reducing your carbon footprint.
Now that you know why, let’s take a look at how it works. In the zero-emission car pledge program, participating manufactures like Honda, Jaguar, Toyota, Nissan, and others put together a list of locations across the United States where drivers can register and use the zero-emission cars. Those who sign up will receive a tax credit for the cost of their registration. That’s a savings of about two hundred dollars. That’s money that can be used to offset the cost of the car!
Of course, the main reason for joining the car use program is to reduce carbon emissions. Those who choose the plug-in electric vehicle programs or the zero-emission car pledge are doing so with the hope that they can eventually sell off all of their carbon emissions and be able to pay for the hybrid or electric vehicle that they choose. If they meet their targets, those who sign up will be eligible to earn a tax credit on the purchase of their zero-emission vehicles. That means that not only can they get a rebate on the purchase of their new plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle, but they can also expect to have their carbon emissions reduced through energy efficient and greener ways of driving.
As people continue to grow increasingly aware of the need to reduce carbon emissions, they are turning to electric cars for that hybrid or electric drive that they can count on. For now, however, the majority of electric vehicle owners still drive gasoline vehicles. At least until the federal government, through its Vehicle Hybrid Program, takes over the National Electric Mobility Association’s (NETMA) electric vehicle drive test program next year. Until then, electric car owners in the United States will just have to rely on what resources they have to help them meet their own personal carbon emissions reduction goals.
The time is now to make your voice heard. The federal government and many of the state governments are offering generous incentives to those who adopt electric cars. You can help them by signing up to the Car Purity Drive program now. Car Purity is a program that provides resources and advice on buying zero-emission vehicles, living green and more. This program is a great example of how signing up for zero-emission and living green certifications today can provide rebates and tax credits in the future.
